I went on a twitter rant about the TV rights of MLS Soccer games. It spanned 7 tweets. I stand by every word of it.
So last year I subscribed (paid for) @MLS Live so I could watch @impactmontreal games live. This year, they moved their service in Canada to DAZN, to which I also subscribe (paid for). I thought this would be awesome! One less subscription to pay for, right? WRONG. (1)

So, even though I would GLADLY watch @TSN_Sports for this content (which is also something that is PAID FOR), there is actually NO way to LEGALLY watch any of the @impactmontreal games this season unless TSN just so happens to decide to air it. There are 2 main issues here… (3)

So why add that extra layer so that it’s that much harder to follow your league? It makes it a nightmare to follow, and as a result, I have literally seen ONE Impact game this year. Last year (with my stand-alone MLS Live subscription I saw 10, plus a couple I caught on TSN. (5)

In conclusion, I would very much encourage @TSN_Sports and the @MLS to seek alternative options to provide these matches to the fans. Otherwise, the fans will A) stream the content illegally; or B) stop being fans.
There’s not a lot of other ways this can go down.
