I’m in school again, for the first time in almost 20 years. I officially graduated high school in 2002, and I didn’t bother with University at the time because I didn’t want to spend 30k$ (or more) to figure out that “this isn’t what I want to do with my life.”
I’m glad I held off with that because, honestly, I’d either be a bitter history teacher now, or I’d be a bartender with a super useful history degree.
I’m going to University of the People (UoPeople) and my first term started at the beginning of this month. It isn’t as terrible as I thought, but it’s certainly not as easy as I’d hoped.
I’m 38 years old, you have to realize. While I’d argue that the “mature student” label doesn’t suit me, I’m definitely no spring chicken over here, you know?
Anyway, I’m going to try and keep this site updated with any fun or interesting things I come across on my journey to get my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. As much as I can share without violating my school’s code of ethics.
I will say that I wrote my first university paper and it was given a grade of 100%. Nowhere to go but down! See you folks soon.
